Alexander Ulate (ulate@wisc.edu)

Alexander is a 5th year student studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with an interest in microprocessor design and firmware development. He is originally from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and has been a part of the SHPE Familia since his freshman year. He has a passion for community involvement and is helping lead the Puentes a STEM outreach program, chapter professional and personal development, and maintaining a strong relation with College of Engineering staff and leadership.

Alondra Guerrero Toledo (guerrerotole@wisc.edu)

Alondra is a junior majoring in Industrial Engineering & Data Science. She is from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and has been part of SHPE since Fall of 2021. As the VP internal, she hopes that gathering the community of Latinx in Engineering will drive everyone to success in the field. She holds a close connection and works closely with the staff of the IEDESC.


VP - External
Aaron Cavazos-Dorf (adorf@wisc.edu)

Aaron Dorf is a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering. He is from Augusta, WI, the town of the saucy Bush’s Baked Beans. As VP-External he arranges for companies to sponsor events for SHPE members to attend in hopes of employment. This past summer he was awarded the National Speakers Association Robert Henry Scholarship for his writing and speaking contributions to UW-SHPE last year as Fundraising Chair. Aaron enjoys writing, reading and playing the sax.


Mateo Silver (mnsilver@wisc.edu)

Mateo is a junior from the Madison area majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He joined SHPE in the fall of 2021 and this is his first year on the executive board. As secretary, Mateo hopes expand recruitment events in order to continue growing the chapter.

Carlos is a third-year student studying Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Construction Engineering and Management. He is a member of the Wisconsin Engineering Student Council’s Diversity and Student Experience Committee and is currently working as a Student Project Engineer with UW-Madison’s Facilities Planning and Management Department. He is a service-oriented individual who enjoys painting, running and playing basketball.
